KATHMANDU, April 12: Ruling Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) and Communist party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) on Sunday reached an understanding to end their difference and run the parliament meeting smoothly from Monday, according to our correspondent Ghanashyam Ojha.

In a day-long meeting held in Singha Durbar, joint panel of the two largest ruling parties prepared a draft agreement and forwarded it for signatures of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal, who are at Dasharath Stadium attending closing ceremony of the Fifth National Games.

The nine-point agreement says the Maoists would help arrest the accused in the March 26 killing of UML cadre Prachanda Thaiba, and both the parties would make their ties stronger.

Details to follow.
