PARBAT, June 20: Police arrested a man who had been absconding after attempting to rape an elderly woman in a jungle located at Athar VDC of the district on Friday.

The arrestee has been identified as Bal Bahadur BK, 56 of Kusma municipality.
According to Mahendra Kumar Shrestha, Chief District Officer (CDO), police are investigating into the case after the CDO extended the case period by three more days.Police informed that this is the first case of attempted rape against a senior citizen.
