KATHMANDU, July 18: The water level in the Mahakali River in Dadeldhura surpassed the danger mark on Thursday, as reported by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. The increase was observed at the Parigaon Center monitoring station.


The river's water flow continues to rise, prompting the department to issue a high alert warning for the region until this evening.

"At 12 noon on July 18, the water level in the Mahakali River at the Parigaon Center in Dadeldhura crossed the alert level and continued to rise. Residents near the river banks and in the flood-prone areas are advised to remain on high alert until evening," stated the department's notification.
