17-year-old girl missing after jumping into Mahakali River

KATHMANDU, Aug 30: A teenage girl of Darchula has gone missing after jumping into the Mahakali River. Gyanendra Bahadur Singh, spokesperson and Inspector of the District Police Office, Darchula, said that Mamta Tamata, 17, of Naugad Rural Municipality-4, Darchula, went missing after jumping into the Mahakali River.

Inspector Singh said that she jumped into the Mahakali River at around 4 PM on Thursday.

She arrived at the headquarters with her mother from their village. Police said that the reason for her sudden jump into the river is not disclosed yet, and further investigation is ongoing.
