Madhesh Province Assembly meeting postponed after Janamat’s obstruction

JANAKPURDHAM, April 16: The meeting of the Madhesh Province Assembly has been postponed. The provincial assembly members of the Janamat Party obstructed the assembly meeting.  


Madhesh Province Assembly Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal adjourned the meeting for 10 minutes after the Nepali Congress supported the protest initiated by the Janamat Party.

Mahesh Prasad Yadav, a former Minister of Education and Culture, was beaten up during the foundation-laying of Agriculture University in Saptari. The Janamat Party had demanded the formation of an inquiry committee to investigate the matter. However, the party obstructed the province assembly meeting, citing the failure to form the committee. 


Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav had called the meeting to seek a vote of confidence today.
