Sudurpaschim Province Assembly meeting postponed to 4PM today

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: The meeting of the Sudurpaschim Province Assembly has been postponed to 4PM. Although the meeting was supposed to be held at 1PM on Thursday, the meeting has been postponed to 4PM.

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: The meeting of the Sudurpaschim Province Assembly has been postponed to 4PM. Although the meeting was supposed to be held at 1PM on Thursday, the meeting has been postponed to 4PM.


Sudurpaschim Chief Minister Rajendra Singh Rawal is taking the vote of confidence today. But the meeting was postponed after Nagarik Unmukti Party could not reach an agreement.


Nagarik Unmukti Party has seven members in the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly. They came to Kathmandu a few days ago and are still in Kathmandu.

They had a discussion with UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Wednesday and had a discussion this morning as well.


The Nagarik Unmukti Party has taken the stand that it will not give a vote of confidence to the Sudurpaschim government until the release of the party’s advisor Resham Chaudhary from jail and the recently arrested MP Arun Chaudhary.


Today is the last day for Chief Minister Rawal to take the vote of confidence.
