Lyricist Trishit passes away

KATHMANDU, June 1: Dr Ram Man Trishit, the man behind evergreen classics like “Mancheko Maya Yaha Khola Ko Pani Jasto” sung by late Swar Samrat Narayan Gopal and “ Euta Tara Jharda Pani Akash Singai Ritto Lagcha” sung by C.P Lohani passed away at the age of 70.



Trishit breathed his last at the Medicare Hospital, Chabahill on Tuesday. He had been hospitalized for the past three weeks suffering from kidney problems.[break]



The lyricist’s body was kept in the premises of Nepal Academy where his fans and well-wishers paid theirlast respects before the funeral proceeded to Aryaghat, Pashupati.



Trishit, also a medical doctor by profession, started his writing journey from 2029 B.S.



He established the ‘Navakala Pariwar’ cultural group whose members included veteran singers like Premdhwaj Pradhan, Yogesh Vaidya and the late Narayan Gopal.



A dozen of his works have also been published alongside six audio albums.







Born in 1997 B.S. at Om Bahal, Kathmandu, Trishit’s first song was recorded in 2013 B.S.



The recipient of prestigious awards like the Chinnalata award, Mahakavi Devkota award and Natikaji special music award, Trishit is survived by his wife and son.
