Janakpur, May 22, 2023 - Lumbini World Peace Forum, an organization dedicated to promoting peace and environmental sustainability, celebrated World Biodiversity Day by organizing a series of activities aimed at enhancing biodiversity and environmental conservation in Janakpur, Dhanusha District.

According to a statement released, the organization took initiatives that encompassed tree planting, installation of tree guards, and cleaning activities along the Dudhmati River today. 

The event garnered the participation of esteemed guests, including the Secretary of Forest and Environment of Madhesh Province Jagdish Prasad Jaisawal as well as local youths and eco-activists.

In addition to the tree planting endeavor, the participants actively engaged in the cleaning of the Dudhmati River. By removing debris and waste from the watercourse, the initiative sought to enhance the biodiversity and ecological balance of the area.

The event received an overwhelming response from the local community, with enthusiastic participation from youths, activists, and employees from various banks. The event is part of Lumbini World Peace Forum’s “1 Million Trees Plantation Drive” campaign.
