Lord Mayor of London Parmley calls on DPM Mahara

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara Tuesday said the government has moved ahead with the preparations for organizing all three levels of elections within a year. 


During the meeting with visiting Dr Andrew Parmley, Lord Mayor of the City of London today, DPM Mahara told that the government has prioritized the elections in the course of the implementation of the constitution.

The meeting also dwelt on further strengthening mutual relations between Nepal and the United Kingdom, said DPM Mahara's press coordinator Tribhuvan Poudel. 


Also on the occasion, Mahara thanked UK government for its continuous support to Nepal in the past and expressed hope for the same in the future. 


In return, Parmley expressed gratitude for Nepal's goodwill and pledged that the UK government would provide help to conclude the peace process by implementing the constitution. RSS
