Envoy Parmley pays courtesy call to Prez Bhandari

KATHMANDU, Jan 23:  A delegation led by Dr Andrew Parmley, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, on Monday paid a courtesy call to President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the latter’s official residence in Sheetal Niwas.

KATHMANDU, Jan 23:  A delegation led by Dr Andrew Parmley, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, on Monday paid a courtesy call to President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the latter’s official residence in Sheetal Niwas.


The meeting focused on the bilateral issues existing between Nepal and Britain.

In the meeting both President Bhandari and diplomat Parmley vowed to take the Nepal-Britain ties to a new height.


Dr Andrew Parmley arrived here Saturday on a four-day official visit to Nepal.


Dr Parmley who holds minister rank is considered a key person in the conduction of international relations and economic diplomacy in Britain. 


Also present were the British Ambassador to Nepal Richard Morris and high-ranking officials of the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
