The water level in the river is being continuously monitored since the country’s eastern region has received heavy rainfall for the past few days.
The Saptakosi Water Measurement Center has said that the water level has reached above the danger point. As a result, there is an increased risk of river flooding in some areas of Udayapur and Sunsari districts.
Meanwhile, Chief District Officer of Sunsari Ramchandra Tiwari has urged people living along the bank of Koshi River to take necessary precautions.
