KATHMANDU, July 3: The Lo Manthang Rural Municipality of Mustang has officially declared a public holiday on Monday.
This decision comes in light of the wedding ceremony of Prince Zhigmi Dhondup Phunchok Palwar Bista, the eldest son of King Zhigmi Singhi Palwar Bista, which is set to take place today. To commemorate the occasion, the rural municipality has granted a holiday to all subordinate offices and educational institutions.
Lo Manthang to be electrified
The Lo Manthang Rural Municipality released a statement on Sunday, formally announcing the public holiday. The statement highlights that the wedding celebrations of Prince Zhigmi Dhondup Phunchok Palwar Bista will encompass various programs in the Lo Manthang rural municipality area. Consequently, a public holiday has been extended to the rural municipality's office, along with all associated offices and educational institutions.
