Limbuwan Parishad obstructs vehicular movement

TAPLEJUNG, June 25: Sanghiya Limbuwan Rajya Parishad obstructed vehicular movements in various districts to protest the suspension of four lawmakers for a week.



Constituent Assembly speaker Subas Nembang had suspended lawmakers Bishwendra Paswan, Rukmini Chaudhari, Buddha Ratna Manandhar and Sadrul Haq Miya for violating parliamentary discipline at a house meeting last week. [break]



Parishad has accused speaker Nembang of acting beyond his ethics by suspending the lawmakers.



Parishad staged chakkajam for an hour in nine districts in the eastern part of the country.



Parishad claimed the speaker ignored the lawmakers who were raising voice in favor of indigenous and backward people.
