Keshav Damai, 12, son of Meher Singh Damai; Nir Maya Devi Pun Magar, 33; and her daughter Atisara Kumari Pun Magar, 14, of at Keshari of Sugarkhal-8 were hurt in the incident.[break]
A local, Arjun Darlami Magar, said that the lightning claimed 24 goats of Dambar Bahadur Darlami Magar.
He said the lightning struck the trio, Atisara Pun Magar and Keshav Damai serisouly, and the goats while they were shielding themselves from rainfall sitting under trees at Baghdhunga.
Soon after the thunderbolt hit them they fell unconscious and the goats died on the spot. Villagers rescued the victims immediately after the incident.
The injured are said to waiting to be rushed to other places as there are no reliable health centers in their village.
