Baburam Jamarkattel, president of LCCI, said about 300 stalls will showcase local productions, including daily consumer goods, home appliances, stationery goods and electronic goods among others. “Industrial, agriculture and handicraft products, information technology, educational institutions and health-related materials are the other attractions in the 10-day fair,” Jamarkattel told a press conference on Sunday.
Locally produced coffee, poultry, fruits, fishes, honey, dairy and fresh vegetables will also be exhibited during the festival.
The festival will also feature Dohori songs competition, comedy, musical concerts and cultural programs and showcase culture and tradition of different ethnic groups. Amusement park will also be managed to entertain children.
“Visitors can enjoy different cuisines together with folks songs and Gandaki Tara contest during the festival. The stalls showcasing agriculture produces will be another important feature in the festival,” Jamarkattel added.
The organizers are expecting over 300,000 visitors and a business transaction worth Rs 150 million during the festival.
