KASKI, May 26: CPN-UML has won both mayor and deputy mayor of Pokhara-Lekhanath Metropolitan City.
UML candidate Man Bahadur GC has been elected mayor and Manju Gurng deputy mayor of the metropolis.

GC secured 60,118 votes while Gurung got 56, 448 votes.
GC’s closest rival Nepali Cogress’s Ramji Kunwar got 46, 416 votes while Gurung’s immediate rival Swaraswati Gurung secured 44, 338 votes.
GC who started his political career at the age of 37 from a village committee member is now UML’s alternative central committee member.
