In the meeting the representatives of various political parties protested against the EC's attempt to make the parties sign a written commitment to abide by the code of conduct without any discussion.

The meeting was affected for a while after the party representatives started raising objections. Although the commission had invited the chiefs of the parties for discussion, the representatives of some parties objected saying that the central members of some parties were also present in the meeting.
