Laxmi Steel, Sarbottam Cement pay installments of outstanding arrears

Of the Rs 237.9 million dues, Laxmi Steel paid Rs 8.498 million as the first installment on Friday, said Suraj Regmi, chief of the Parasi Distribution Centre of Nepal Electricity Authority. The industry has committed to pay the dues in 28 installments.

KATHMANDU, March 21: Laxmi Steel located at Sunwal in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta West) has started paying its arrears for the electricity consumption of dedicated and trunk lines.

Of the Rs 237.9 million dues, Laxmi Steel paid Rs 8.498 million as the first installment on Friday, said Suraj Regmi, chief of the Parasi Distribution Centre of Nepal Electricity Authority. The industry has committed to pay the dues in 28 installments.


Similarly, Sarbottam Cement, which is based in Sunwal, has also paid the second installment of the dues. The industry, which had committed to pay the arrears in 28 installments, paid Rs 3.76 million in the second installment on Friday. The outstanding amount of the industry is Rs 119.6 million.
