KATHMANDU, March 21: Six persons lost their lives in fire incidents that occurred at different places of the country in the month of Falgun (Mid-February to mid-March).
A man, four women and a child died in fire incidents. Similarly, 30 men, 26 women and three children were injured in such incidents.
Spokesperson at the Nepal Police Headquarters, Deputy Inspector General Dinesh Kumar Acharya shared that a total 501 fire incidents took place across the country in the last one month. Eighty-seven houses and 57 cowsheds suffered damages and 146 cattle died in fire incidents.
102 killed in fire incidents in one year

A total of 38 families were displaced after the incident and property worth Rs 404.8 million was destroyed by fire.
Acharya mentioned that 3,614 police personnel were mobilized to douse the fire that occurred at different places. The highest number of fire incident took place in Koshi Province (135) while 105 in Madhesh Province, 44 in Bagmati Province, 49 in Kathmandu Valley, 33 in Gandaki Province, 64 in Lumbini Province, 30 in Karnali Province and 41 in Sudurpaschim Province.
Incidents of fire have been taking place at different places of the country due to insufficient rainfall and increasing heat and dry conditions. The Home Ministry has requested one and all to stay alert as incidents of fire will increase.
