KATHMANDU, Dec 10: Attorneys from the District Government Attorney Office (DGAO), Parsa, started recording the statement of Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former home minister, on the charge of misappropriation of Sano Paila Cooperative in Parsa on Tuesday.
Lamichhane, who was in the custody of the District Police Office, Parsa, was brought to the DGAO, Parsa at 10 am.

RSP Chair Lamichhane was taken from Pokhara to Kathmandu and from Kathmandu to Simara via Buddha Air on Monday. He was taken to Birgunj by a police van from Simara.
Lamichhane was kept in custody after a medical examination revealed his blood pressure was normal. Lamichhane's statement-recording in Parsa started this morning.
An arrest warrant was issued by the Parsa District Court on December 4 against 14 individuals, including Lamichhane, regarding the embezzlement of funds of Sano Paila Cooperative.
Lamichhane has already given a statement on charges of embezzling funds from Suryadarshan Cooperative of Kaski, Supreme Cooperative of Butwal, and Sahara Cooperative of Chitwan. Lamichhane, who was arrested from Kathmandu on October 18, was transferred to Kaski on the same day.
