BANEPA, July 2: Education at Kathmandu University remains halted for the past six days after the student union affiliated to the ruling Nepal Communist Party padlocked the university.
All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), KU Regional Campus Committee Representative, Nabin Bogati stated that the university was padlocked after the university administration failed to fulfill the educational clauses of the agreement reached with the University Students Welfare Department last year. “With a view to keeping the studies unhampered, we previously told the university administration by issuing a notice on Wednesday. But we had to take firm steps after the notice was ineffective,” said Bogati.
