BIRATNAGAR, July 9: Preparations are being made for the expansion of the cabinet in Koshi Province. Koshi Province Chief Minister (CM) Uddhab Thapa is going to expand his cabinet today.
According to the Office of the Province Chief, preparations are being made to appoint four ministers today. Prime Minister's son-in-law Jeevan Acharya and Rajendra Karki from CPN (Maoist Center), Ram Kumar Khatri from Nepali Congress(NC) are becoming ministers.

On the other hand, CPN (Unified Socialist) is holding discussions to finalize the names of new ministers. Khinu Langwa Limbu from CPN (Unified Socialist) is the likely candidate for the minister from the party now, according to the party insiders.
Although Acharya is sure to become the Minister for Economic Affairs of the Koshi province, the ministerial portfolios of others are yet to be finalized.
