BIRATNAGAR, Nov 6: The Koshi parliamentary party has rejected the resignation of Uddhav Thapa, the leader of the Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party in Koshi Province.
Thapa said that the NC Koshi parliamentary party, in a meeting held on Monday, declined his resignation. He added that deputy leader Himal Karki, chief whip Bhupendra Rai, and other members will resume their official duties.
Thapa had submitted his resignation on October 14, expressing his disapproval with the party's decision, along with eight NC Koshi provincial assembly members. Their objections were grounded on ethical grounds following the appointment of Kedar Karki as the chief minister.
