ITAHARI, July 5: Nepali Congress (NC) has won both the chief and deputy chief in Koshi Rural Municipality in the Sunsari district.
NC candidate Ayub Ansari has been elected as the chief of the rural municipality with 4, 074 votes while Anita Yadav of the same rural municipality grabbed the post of deputy chief with 3, 412 votes.
Ansari’s closest rival of CPN-UML Ajaya Kumar Kusiyat got 2, 723 votes while Yadav’s rival of the same party Parwati Devi Urawa got 2, 732 votes.
