BIRATNAGAR, Oct 22: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba on Saturday accused party president President Sushil Koirala of dissolving the party´s wings against the spirit of party unity.

He also claimed that Koirala wants to be the only dominant player in the party.[break]

“He has always been treating me in a disdainful manner. I have come to you as I was not able to tolerate that,” Deuba said addressing party cadres in Biratnagar on Saturday.

Deuba said he is not afraid of anyone, but added that he doesn´t want to split the party.

“I was not afraid of the former king, the Maoists and Girija Babu. The party president´s threats will not disturb me,” Deuba added.

He said Koirala had brought damage to the party by dissolving the sister organizations. “Why can´t the president stand the chiefs of the party sister organizations?” questioned Deuba. He said he would leave no stone unturned to bring unity in the party.

He complained that Koirala had been indifferent to those staging hunger strike at the party head office in Sanepa. “I feed them juice and resigned from the central committee but he remained indifferent,” Deuba said.

Deuba said he would not accept any “autocratic decisions” made by the president.

At a separate function organized by Tarun Dal in Biratnagar Deuba said that he would expose Koirala´s wrong decisions. “He was not happy with growing unity in the party. That´s why he dissolved the sister organizations.”
