KMC section officer held for taking bribe from service recipient

KATHMANDU, April 6: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested section officer Deepak Adhikari of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Office for taking a bribe of Rs 350, 000 from a service recipient.

According to a statement issued by CIAA, the officer took the aforementioned sum of money from one Rina Devi Shah by promising her to verify her house map from the office for additional storey.


The section officer was arrested from KMC-10, Puja Prathisthan Marg, Old Baneshwor on Sunday evening acting on a complaint filed by Shah.  The CIAA said it is investigating into the matter.
