KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is celebrating its 30th Metropolitan Day today. The KMC has organized cultural and musical programs to mark the occasion.
The official program of the day will be held at the Army Ground in Kathmandu, while the cultural and musical programs will take place at the Tudikhel ground, as announced by the municipality. A traditional food festival will begin at Tudikhel from 9 AM. There will also be an exhibition of products and items produced under the 'One Ward - One Model Enterprise' program.

The municipality has stated that individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields will be honored. The musical program will begin at 3 PM. Well-known artists have been invited for the musical event.
On Mangsir 29, 2052 BS, Kathmandu was declared a metropolitan city. Since then, this day has been celebrated as Metropolitan Day.
