KATHMANDU, Dec 14: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has honored 10 individuals with Rs 150,000 each on the occasion of its 30th Establishment Day.
The individuals include painter Kiran Manandhar, Folk singer Kumar Basnet, Dr Arun Sayami, former mayor of KMC, PL Singh, artist Narendra Kansakar, and litterateur Malla K Sundar.

Other personalities honoured by KMC included sportspeople such as Taekwondo player Sangina Baidya, volleyball player Pratibha Mali, ultra-marathon runner Mina Rai and cricketer Gyanendra Malla.
On the occasion, all 32 wards of KMC performed their cultural processions.
