KATHMANDU, Nov 12: Leaders of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) met with the party’s Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, who is in police custody on charges related to a cooperative fraud case. The meeting, which is now being heavily criticized, has been referred to as a ‘detention meeting’.
While the RSP has been protesting on the streets since the beginning against the arrest of its chairman, it has been facing challenges in justifying the protest. During this time, the two vice-chairmen of the RSP, Dol Prasad Aryal, Dr Swarnim Wagle and acting spokesperson Manish Jha and other leaders met with Lamichhane.

The reason for the meeting is not hidden - it was regarding the upcoming strategy of the party’s protests. However, other parties are criticizing that the party meeting was held inside police custody.
