Initially, the protestors gathered at Wai Chowk and chanted strong slogans against the government. They marched to Rastra Bank Chowk from Wai Chowk, raising slogans against the government and the judiciary. As the situation escalated, the police were compelled to intervene by firing tear gas to control the protesters.
A large number of police officers were deployed to control the demonstration. The bench of Judge Chandrakant Poudel of the Kaski District Court ordered Rabi Lamichhane to be detained for an additional seven days.
RSP leaders called the investigation against Lamichhane a “political conspiracy,” claiming that the court’s decision was unjust. During the demonstration, they criticized the government’s actions, expressing their anger and stating that their democratic rights had been violated.
