Kathmandu Valley records 168 COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Aug 17: The three districts in the Kathmandu Valley reported as many as 168 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, Aug 17: The three districts in the Kathmandu Valley reported as many as 168 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


Of the newly-confirmed cases, 139 are from Kathmandu district alone. Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts reported 15 and 14 cases, respectively.

The Kathmandu Valley witnessed 172 cases on Sunday. With this, a total of 1,559 people have been diagnosed with this viral infection in the Valley since August 1.
