Kathmandu Valley records 159 new cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Kathmandu Valley witnessed 159 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours.

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Kathmandu Valley witnessed 159 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours.


According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 134 new cases in Kathmandu, 17 in Lalitpur and eight in Bhaktapur districts were detected in the last 24 hours.

On Tuesday Kathmandu Valley recorded 205 new cases. The number was 168 on Monday, 172 on Sunday, 98 on Saturday, 119 on Friday and 127 on Thursday.


Kathmandu Valley alone has recorded as many as 1,048 new cases in the past one week.


The MoHP also confirmed 681 new cases across the country on Wednesday.
