KATHMANDU, June 27: TVS Everest Premier League (EPL) outfit Kathmandu Kings XI has announced the signing of Ireland’s Kevin O’Brien as its first international player for this year’s EPL.

O’Brien has been an integral member of the Irish cricket team since 2006 and has represented Ireland in three of 50-over ICC World Cups and in five ICC T20 World Cups where he went on to become a key all-rounder for his country.
O’Brien has and is playing a lot of domestic one day and T20 cricket around the world for some of the biggest domestic teams: Surrey, Somerset, Nottinghamshire, Trinidad and Tobago, Northern Districts.
The first centurion for Ireland, O’Brien who hit a century in its inaugural Test cricket, scored a century in the 2011 World Cup against England which is the world cup fastest century.

After signing for Kathmandu Kings, O’Brien said, “I am super excited to play in the EPL for Kathmandu Kings and I look forward to this experience.’’ He added, “I can’t wait to get there and experience the Nepali crowd.’’
