KATHMANDU, Dec 10: Chitwan Tigers suffered another loss in a row after losing a match to Kathmandu Kings XI in the ongoing Everest Premier League (EPL-2018) on Monday. After losing a toss, Chitwan Tigers got an invitation to bat first and set a target of 161 runs for Kathmandu Kings XI.
Chitwan Tigers managed to collect only 160 runs losing all the wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Dipendra Singh Airee smashed highest 45 runs for Chitwan Tigers. Likewise, PR Stirling,S Sunar, Prithu Baskota(c) and GFB Scott scored 34, 25, 20 and 15 runs respectively.
Tigers, Kings XI swap marquee players
P Sahu and Samshad Sheikh took equal three wickets each while restricting Chitwan Tigers from making huge run score. Whereas Sagar Pun, AS Routela and KJ O’Brien took one wicket each for Kathmandu Kings XI.
Kathmandu Kings XI managed to pull the target of 161 runs with 7 balls remaining with a loss of four wickets. S Anand scored not out 43 runs whereas Sagar Pun contributed 39 runs for the Kathmandu’s victory. Likewise, NB Budayair, AS Routela and A Shrestha scored 22,21 and 18 runs respectively to secure maiden victory for Kathmandu Kings XI in their first match.
Shahab Alam took two wickets while LS Bhandari and PR Stirling took one wicket each for Chitwan Tigers.
