Kathmandu Infosys MechTRIX 7.0 at IOE

KATHMANDU,Feb 3: Society of Mechanical Engineering Students (SOMES), in association with Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, inaugurated the Kathmandu Infosys MechTRIX 7.0: 7th National Mechanical Engineering Exhibition-2073 on Friday. The event will continue until Sunday.

KATHMANDU,Feb 3: Society of Mechanical Engineering Students (SOMES), in association with Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, inaugurated the Kathmandu Infosys MechTRIX 7.0: 7th National Mechanical Engineering Exhibition-2073 on Friday. The event will continue until Sunday.



The expo aims at encouraging applicative importance of mechanical engineering and the role of engineering in overall development of the country. It has a total of 50 stalls, including 12 Bachelor’s level engineering projects, 12 plus-two level engineering projects and commercial advertisements. The major attractions of the expo include sustainable house, urban biogas, rainwater harvesting, 3D printer and barsha pump.



“The expo will provide a platform for engineering students to demonstrate their talent through their innovations,” said Arun Pandey, coordinator of the exhibition.



The expo also features special one-day events like ‘Kurukshetra,’ a battle of drones which took place on Friday, ‘Robo Akhada,’ a fight against cancer which is taking place on Saturday and ‘Robo Rash,’ license to ride which will take place on Sunday. Winners of these events will also be awarded with cash prize.
