NIC Asia Bank wins 'Infosys Finacle Innovation Awards 2024' for digital banking excellence

KATHMANDU, June 3: NIC Asia Bank has been awarded the prestigious 'Infosys Finacle Innovation Awards 2024' organized by the multinational company Infosys Finacle based in India.  Issuing a statement on Monday, the bank said it received the award for its outstanding contributions to the digital banking services. The bank received the 'Channel Innovation Platinum' award for introducing the innovative iServe platform, which offers comprehensive online banking services to customers, allowing them to access services from home or office without visiting a branch.


Competing among 200 applications in 10 categories, NIC Asia's iServe platform was recognized for enhancing customer service, payments, card services, document verification, mobile banking, teller services, online services, merchant services, and trade services, the statement added. The bank further said this award highlights the bank's commitment to making digital banking more convenient, simple, and secure.

The statement added that NIC Asia Bank has an extensive network, including 360 branch offices, 671 ATMs, 118 extended counters, and 51 branchless banking networks nationwide. The bank claims that it serves approximately 25% of Nepal's economically active population and has made significant contributions to financial inclusion, particularly in remote districts.


The bank's recognition underscores its efforts in promoting digital banking as part of its long-term goal of becoming the 'Digital First Bank'.
