Kathmandu air witnesses continued deterioration even on public holiday

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: The air quality of the Kathmandu Valley deteriorated even on Saturday as the highest fine particulate matter (PM 2.5) reading was measured at 194.69 micrograms per cubic meter (μg/m³) in the morning between 8 and 9.

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: The air quality of the Kathmandu Valley deteriorated even on Saturday as the highest fine particulate matter (PM 2.5) reading was measured at 194.69 micrograms per cubic meter (μg/m³) in the morning between 8 and 9.

The lowest PM 2.5 standing docked at 98.39 μg/m³ ( 2 PM - 3PM), which is also by far worse than that of the standard of 25 μg/m³ set by the World Health Organization and 40 μg/m³ by the Government of Nepal.
