Junior fencing competition to take place in Pokhara from tomorrow

POKHARA, June 8: The first national junior and open fencing competition will be held in Pokhara on Friday and Saturday. The competition will feature a total of 60 medals up for grabs, including 10 gold, 10 silver, and 40 bronze, in both individual and team events.

POKHARA, June 8: The first national junior and open fencing competition will be held in Pokhara on Friday and Saturday. The competition will feature a total of 60 medals up for grabs, including 10 gold, 10 silver, and 40 bronze, in both individual and team events.


The competition is organized by Provincial Sports Council, Gandaki and coordinated by District Fencing Association, Kaski. Six teams from Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Far Western provinces along with two departmental teams of Nepal Army and Armed Police will be participating in the tournament which will be conducted at the multi-purpose covered hall at Pokhara Stadium.

According to Bijay Shahi, the president of the Kaski District Fencing Association, the competition will feature separate individual and team events for EP junior women and men. Additionally, preparations have been made for both individual and team events in open foil for women and men. President Shahi stated that the winning team will receive a trophy.
