One victim of Dhangadhi explosion dies

One of the victims of Thursday's explosion in Dhangadi died in course of treatment in local hospital, district authorities said. Ram Singh of Bajhang, who was involved in detonating improvised explosive device at Nilam Hotel in Dhangadhi, died in course treatment on Thursday. Four victims have been undergoing treatment in Dhangadhi, and one of them is in critical condition

Bus and transport entrepreneurs demand that VCTS be scrapped

Bus and transport entrepreneurs and transport workers have demanded that the government scrap the Vehicle and Consignment Tracking System(VCTS) that took effect from July 17, 2019. Organizing a press conference in the capital on Friday to express their dissatisfaction with the VCTS introduced by the government to track the movement of commodities electronically, they have demanded that the VCTS be scrapped.

U.S. says Navy ship 'destroyed' Iranian drone in Gulf

The United States said on Thursday that a U.S. Navy ship had “destroyed” an Iranian drone in the Strait of Hormuz after the aircraft threatened the vessel, but Iran said it had no information about losing a drone.  U.S. President Donald Trump told an event at the White House that the drone had flown to within 1,000 yards of the USS Boxer and had ignored “multiple calls to stand down.

ICC's suspension of CAN continues

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has gone with its decision to suspend the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN). The Thursday's annual conference meeting of the ICC Board took place in London, England did not enter into the agenda of lifting the CAN suspension. The ICC had on April 25, 2016, decided to suspend CAN, citing increasing government interference in it.
