KATHMANDU, Feb 25: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has decided to support the candidate of the Nepali Congress (NC) in the presidential election.
A Central Work Performance Committee meeting of the JSP held on Friday night took the decision to this effect, according to JSP Publicity Department Chief, Purna Basnet.
The party took the decision soon after a joint meeting of the eight political parties decided to support the NC candidate in the election to the President.

Similarly, the Nepal Socialist Party (NSP) has decided to vote for the NC candidate Ram Chandra Poudel in the upcoming election to President.
A meeting of party's office bearers held on Saturday took this decision, according to Central Member and Chief of Publicity Department, Bishwo Dip Pandey.
A Central Execution Committee meeting of the NC held this morning made the official decision to field its senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel as the candidate for President.
Similarly, the NSP decided to extend support to the new alliance formed in the course of electing the President.
