JP Gupta splits MPRF, forms new party MPRF-Republic

KATHMANDU, May 23: Co-Chairman Jayaprakash Gupta of Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (MPRF) splits the party to form new party MPRF-Republic in his own leadership on Monday.



Thirteen of the total 25 lawmakers have joined the new party. All the 13 lawmakers led by Gupta reached at the parliament secretariat and registered the new parliamentary party.[break]



According to Sudarsan Kuikel, assistant spokesperson of the parliament secretariat, those joining the new party are– JP Gupta, Rajlal Yadav, Nandan Kumar Dutta, Sabitadevi Yadav, Rajkishor Yadav, Surita Kumari Sah, Salma Khatun Mikrani, Atmaram Prasad Sah, Om Prakash Yadav, Chandrika Prasad Yadav, Sandhya Devi, BP Yadav and Aqwal Ahmed Sah.
