Reports about the sequel to ‘Dostana’ have been doing the rounds for years now. The film, which starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan, was a huge success when it released back in 2008. And ever since it was officially announced that the sequel would star Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and Laksh Lalwani, there has been a lot of buzz around the project. What is interesting though, is that none of the first film’s lead actors will be a part of the sequel. And in a recent interview, John admitted that he wasn’t feeling bad about not being a part of the new film, which will also be produced by Karan Johar. Calling KJo a very creative person, John said that ‘Dostana 2’ will also have a lot of glamour and entertainment, similar to its predecessor. He added that Karan must have something interesting in mind, given that he is known to come up with successful projects.

John also revealed that he prefers to detach himself from his characters after the film has released because he doesn’t see a point in holding on to them. Admitting that he was only in one film of successful franchises like ‘Housefull’ and ‘Race’, the actor said that it’s nice when different actors come on board because it gives the audience something new to look forward to. Adding that everyone deserves a chance, John said that he would love to see Tiger Shroff taking his action forward.
