KATHMANDU, May 25: Janmorcha Nepal on Friday welcomed Thursday’s Supreme Court ruling to stay the government’s bid to extend the Constituent Assembly term beyond May 27.

In a press statement by party General Secretary Sadhya Bahadur Bhandari, the party has pressed all other parties for promulgating the new constitution as far as possible within the May 27 deadline. It has also urged to seek a feasible option if the new statute could not issued within the stipulated time.

Likewise, the party has demanded that Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai resign immediately and has argued that his resignation is the only way out to the existing political imbroglio. The party has further described the government´s recent decision to extend the CA term as part of foreign conspiracy.
