BHADRAPUR, June 5: The District Election Office, Bhadrapur on Sunday held a consultative meeting with the concerned stakeholders on holding the second phase of local polls in a fair and peaceful environment and in compliance with the Local Level Election Code of Conduct 2017.
The one-day interactive programme was attended by political party representatives and different organizations including the media.
The election code monitoring official, Indra Yonghang, presented a report on election code of conduct and screened a documentary on voter education.
On the occasion, Chief District Officer (CDO) Uttar Kumar Khatri said the local level elections will play a huge role in taking the fruit of the republic to people's doorsteps.
District Police Office, Jhapa's Superintendent of Police (SP), Shailesh Thapa Chhetri, said the police administration will leave no stone unturned in providing a strong security during the election. RSS
