KATHMANDU, June 8: The meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) incumbent and former office-bearers today has decided to finalize the candidates for second phase local poll scheduled for June 28. 

The meeting held at the party central office, Sanepa today took this decision. 

According to chief secretary at the party Krishna Prasad Poudel, the candidates in Province No 1, 5 and 7 will be finalized by tomorrow but the candidates for Province No 2 will be finalized after few days. 

Present in the meeting were party president Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ramchandra Poudel, general secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala, Treasurer Sita Devi Yadav, former general secretary duo Prakash Man Singh and Krishna Prasad Sitaula, leaders Ram Sharan Mahat, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Arjun Narshing KC and Ramesh Lekhak among others.
