The function was organized by Human Resources Society Nepal (HRSN) in collaboration with Kathmandu Don Bosco College.
“Nepal has huge potential for development and growth but proper human resources are required for the development,” said Suraj Vaidya, former president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
“It is the responsibility of the universities to help produce qualified manpower, but there has often been a huge gap between university education and market demand. Only a strong relationship between universities and industries can help bridge the gap,” he added.
At the function, senior academician Dr Satish Kr Ojha spoke on how the gap between university education and industrial demand is hampering the overall development of the country.
“Industries have certain expectations from their employees and the universities can meet those expectations. There should be an inter-relationship between them for sustainable development and growth of the country,” he added.
