SIRAHA, Aug 9: The lifeless body of a 25-year-old businessman named Siddhant Bhattarai was discovered in a hotel in Mirchaiya, Siraha. Siddhant hailed from Biratnagar and was the owner of a company called Pathibhara Copy Udhyog based in Biratnagar.
According to DSP Jitendra Basnet from the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya, Bhattarai was found lifeless behind Shambhu Hotel at Katari Chowk, Mirchaiya Municipality-5 on Wednesday. He was wearing jeans, but he had no upper clothing on. There was a piece of cloth around his neck, and his mobile phone was discovered in his pants pocket.

The police gathered evidence and included footage from the hotel's CCTV camera. The events leading up to his demise were pieced together to start an investigation. Bhattarai’s relatives have come from Biratnagar to Mirchaiya upon receiving the news.
On Tuesday evening, Bhattarai had a meal at Sahadev Hotel along with his driver, Sagar Rai, after completing coffee marketing in a pick-up jeep numbered (Ko 1 Cha 9172). Later that night, around 11PM, Rai, the driver, went to sleep, and Bhattarai headed to the nearby Shambhu Hotel, located just two houses to the south.
According to Rai, the owner of the hotel informed him that Bhattarai had passed away around 1AM. The police are working to uncover the circumstances surrounding Bhattarai's death.
