During a routine check, police found the activities of Lal suspicious and decided to question him. Upon further check, police found gold hidden in his private parts and wrapped in carbon paper and sealed with a tape. Lal was traveling in bus (Lu 2 Kha 6858) en route to Kathmandu from Butwal.

The Thankot Police Circle is currently investigating the incident. The price of gold is about 15,000 per tola cheaper in India compared to Nepal, so the import from India has increased recently.
