KATHMANDU, Jan 5: India is likely to appoint its former Army Chief Dalbir Singh Suhag as its new ambassador to Nepal.
According to various news reports published in the Indian media, Suhag is likely to succeed envoy Ranjit Rae, who is retiring from the foreign service very soon. A news report on the online edition of Navabharat Times said India is looking for a person, who could check the growing influence of China in Nepal.
The report also mentioned about the planned military drill between Nepal and China.
