KATHMANDU, Oct 17: A joint training between the Nepal Army (NA) personnel from Shree Mahabir Ranger and the military personnel from the Special Operation Group of the U.S. Army, has commenced here from Monday at Chauni in the capital city.
The training named Teak Nail 17-01 aims to transfer knowledge and skills among the Nepali and American soldiers for the disaster management. It will be also conducted in Langtang in Rasuwa and Pokhara until November 11, according to the Directorate of the Public Relations, Nepal Army (NA).
The American soldiers' team arrived here on October 13 for the training.
Issuing a press statement, NA expressed its belief that the training would help exchange both theoretical and practical ideas and experiences on the management of disasters among the Nepal Army and U.S. Army personnel. RSS
